Quality Overview

Everyone talks about quality, and without a doubt, you expect it.  At Edson Truss, we do more than just talk.  We have in place a leading Quality Control System which incorporates the directives of the Western Wood Truss Association as well as our very own In-House and Proprietary Practices.

  1. All designs are reviewed and ‘re-checked’ both at the quotation stage and again prior to manufacturing.
  1. Our lumber, just like our trusses, is checked for quality. First, the majority of our lumber is 2100 SPF (a better grade than No.2).  Secondly, our Lead Sawyer (who possesses decades of experience) tracks which mills are producing quality lifts; if a certain mill’s lumber fails to meet our criteria, we will not stock their product.  And finally, our Truss Assemblers are trained to identify what lumber is acceptable and what is not based on the requirements of the TPIC (Truss Plate Institute of Canada), the Western Wood Truss Association and according to Edson Truss Standards
  1. Our Manufacturing Facility employs technologically advanced equipment to further ensure product excellence.  Edson Truss operates equipment by such elite manufactures as Spida Machinery, the Koskovich Company, Monet DeSauw and Integratech Products Inc.  Our truss tables are equipped with Virtek Vision International laser technology as well as a dual-press system; the truss plates (gangnails) are first pressed vertically for optimal tooth embedment and again via roller to ensure each plate achieves the best possible hold
  1. Edson Truss employees are continuously trained in both their department and our Quality Control System via weekly meetings and various training programs
  1. Quality Control Checks are performed and documented on a regular basis to further improve product excellence and refine our Quality Control System
